The Multiframe4D program is quite easy to use, since it is made in such way that its interface resembles a standard CAD program. The user interface includes only two windows: one to adjust the input parameters of the following analysis and one to show the results. The input parameters are handled in the two windows. The first window contains the global parameters: Frame size Flexural stiffness of the frame-end Longitudinal elastic stiffness of the frame-end Stepped end of the frame-end Stiffness of the frame-end Damping of the frame Air void ratio Temperature Shear stiffness of the frame-end The second window contains the input parameters for each node of the structure: Bending stiffness of the nodes Longitudinal elastic stiffness of the node Shear stiffness of the node Damping of the node Temperature The value of the parameters stored in the first window are automatically included in the second window. The results are listed in the main window. The results are organized into two columns. The first column shows the interaction between the frame-end and each node of the structure, while the second column shows the interaction between the nodes. Multiframe4D is a powerful tool that intends to help structural engineers to create or load models in order to perform a complete structural analysis. The program can import data from other programs in order to analyze them. This program is specialized into the dynamical analysis of an existing or proposed structure. It can assist you in predicting the dynamic response of a frame-based structure that you are designing. Multiframe4D Features: Create complex frame-based models in a simple way. Multiframe4D Drawings & Instructions: To move from this step, to the next step, click on the button named Next. The model is complete and ready to use. Click on the button named Finish to exit Multiframe4D. Multiframe4D Documents: If you have saved the.M4D file into your hard disk, you can open it from your computer’s operating system, Windows 95/98, 2000, XP/Vista or Mac OS. See Multiframe4D documentation for more information. If you have saved the.M4D file on your hard disk, you can open it from your program’s CD/DVD drive, using a player that supports the M4D format. Configuring Multiframe4D: If you are using the Windows operating system, select Start (at the lower right corner of the Windows taskbar, etc.) and then click the Multiframe4D logo or the Multiframe4D application icon. If you are using the Macintosh operating system, select Mac OS X from the Utilities window. Select the Multiframe4D icon that appears on your computer screen. Click on the Options icon.
